2nd Annual Coaches Challenge

New York Rangers head coach John Tortorella and New York Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni hosted 28 children from WHEDco, a Garden of Dreams (see video) partner organization, to participate in the 2nd Annual Coaches Challenge held at the MSG Training Center.

Tampa Bay Lightning Head Coach John Tortorella and his wife Christine, a children’s book author, truly are champions of the Tampa Bay community. On April 5, 2007, The Children’s Home recognized the Tortorellas for their contributions at our Annual Recognition Luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Tampa.

Children’s Home, Inc. – Street Hockey Camp

The Tortorella’s hosted Street Hockey Camp at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.  The kids from the Children’s Home, Inc. were coached by John and Dominic on the basics of floor hockey while Christine and Brittany spent time reading to the kids and doing crafts.

Children’s Home, Inc. – Shelling at the Beach
