RESCUED FROM THE ILLEGAL MEAT TRADE!

Indy: This five year old girl is one of three dogs rescued from the illegal meat trade in Thailand in partnership with the Soi Dog Foundation. And boy is she awesome! As you might expect after the journey she’s been on, she was quite scared when she got to the SPCA of Westchester. But she’s acclimating to her new surroundings nicely and starting to show off her personality — she’s a gentle, loving, charming goofball! They aren’t sure exactly what breed she is, but we are guessing some sort of shepherd mix. She gets along with other dogs and would like a home with older kids (16+) who will understand that she needs patience as she gets comfortable in her new life and surroundings. Whoever adopts Indy will get a terrific companion! To learn more about her or to meet her, e-mail trainer@spca914.org.

Indy is a part of the Tortorella Foundation sponsored “The Way Home” program. Alvin and all of the SPCA of Westchester’s animals can be seen at www.spca914.org and the SPCA of Westchester is located in Briarcliff Manor, NY.
