Through Her Eyes TwoDivergent is my favorite book! I love this book because it keeps you on the edge of your seat and you can’t put it down I finished it in like 3 days it’s amazing. Divergent is the first book in its series and was written by Veronica Roth. The other two books in the series are Insurgent and Allegiant. I already read Insurgent and am on Allegiant and they are both GREAT!!! I recommend this series to age 10+ boys and girls.

Divergent is about a girl named Beatrice who lives in a society that is split into 5 fractions. Endrite believe knowledge is the key to a good society, Amity believe in kindness, Dauntless is bravery, honesty for Candor, and selflessness for Abnegation. Beatrice was born into Abnegation but never felt like she belonged. So when she turned sixteen she was of age for the aptitude test which is a test you take when you’re sixteen to determine what category you would most likely fit into but of course it’s your choice. This fraction you choose is how you have to act at all times or else you become fraction-less.

divergent book vover“One choice decides your friends, one choice defines your believes, one choice determines your loyalties forever, one choice can transform you.” Beatrice’s aptitude test is very different though because instead of just getting one fraction she got 3 Endrite, Dauntless and Abnegation. She is told that this means she is divergent. Divergent are thought of as a type of glitch in this perfect society and if found are usually terminate because of their special powers and is told not to tell anybody about this because she is in danger.

Beatrice is stuck. Trying to figure out if she wants to stay with her family or leave them forever and go to dauntless or endrite.  She does not know what to do about her divergence and is afraid and confused. You should read this book if you want a book with twist after twist. Want to know what happens I guess you’re just going to have to read it yourself.
